Season Eight Dodgeball 101 and Vets Night

By | League, News, Season Eight

Season Eight starts soon, and to kick it off we will be hosting a Dodgeball 101 and Vets Night session on Monday, January 8. Dodgeball 101 is intended for new players, players who are returning to dodgeball after a long break, or anyone looking to sharpen their knowledge of the fundamentals of dodgeball. We will be covering how to play, ref, and some basic skills, and of course will be playing a lot of dodgeball, too!

Vets Night is for our returning veteran players and will have a casual drop-in format for players to play some fun games of dodgeball and shake off the winter rust.

The details for each session are below. Please note the different start and end times for the sessions!

Dodgeball 101

Gym: Grauer Elementary School
Date/Time: January 8, 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Vets Night

Gym: Blundell Elementary School
Date/Time: January 8, 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Please also sign the 2018 RDL Waiver, which is required for anyone playing in any RDL dodgeball events, whether it be a league night or a drop-in.

See you all there!

Week Four Rescheduled to February 20

By | League, News, Season Six

Due to the cancellation of this past Monday’s league games, Week Four has been rescheduled to February 20, the next usual league night. However, due to securing enough gyms, we will now also play both Mondays over spring break in March, so the season’s end and playoffs will not be delayed.

Remember, there are no games this upcoming Monday, February 13, due to Family Day. Enjoy the day off, and we will see you in a couple weeks!

February 6 League Night Canceled Due to Snow – Fun Games at Cook Only!

By | League, News, Season Six

Earlier today we posted that dodgeball would be on – since then, the snow has started falling heavily and road conditions are poor. Therefore, we are canceling official league games tonight, so teams do not have to show up.

However, we are going to be running fun, drop-in-style games at Cook Elementary School from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM (or we get tired!). Please note that we are not playing at Tomsett Elementary School at all. Regardless of which gym you were supposed to play in, go to Cook if you want to play fun games.

We will announce how this week will be made up later.

Monday Drop-Ins at Cook

By | Drop-Ins, League, News, Season Six

The Richmond Dodgeball League is hosting drop-ins at Cook Elementary School every Monday league night from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Drop-ins are open to everyone 19+, so this is a great opportunity to get some extra practice in, or to bring a friend out to try a new sport.

Entry is by donation, with all funds going to the Richmond Food Bank. If you plan on coming, please sign our 2017 waiver. We hope to see you there!
